Use your postcode to find the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) reports into schools, day-care providers and more. England only.How to use this service
The search by postcode service allows you to find the latest Ofsted inspection report across a range of criteria. These include day-care providers, pupils aged two-five, pupils aged five-11, pupils aged 11-16, students aged 16 plus, independent schools, special schools and pupil referral units.
‘Search by postcode’ is located on the left-hand side of the Ofsted web page. First choose the type of schooling you are interested in and enter your postcode. Finally specify how far – or near – from home you want to extend your search by using the ‘show all results in’ the drop down box. When you are happy with your selection, press ‘search’.
Alternatively you can use the interactive map in the centre of the page. Simply click on the region closest to you and narrow your search on the following pages until you find the specific area you are interested in. Continue your search by selecting the relevant type of schooling.
Search results will be presented nearest to your home first. The list will feature the name of the school (which links to the relevant Ofsted reports), school address, the local education authority into which it falls and the distance from the specified postcode. Use the link below to start your search.
